Hockey is coming to the Horseshoe on Saturday night as the Blue Jackets host the Red Wings in the latest installment of the NHL Stadium Series. Ohio Stadium, home of Buckeyes football, is only about three miles from Nationwide Arena, but the atmosphere figures to be quite a departure from the norm as Columbus plays in its first outdoor game, home or away. The Red Wings have played outside four times, including at Michigan Stadium, home of the Buckeyes' eternal rivals, on New Year's Day 2014. This will be Detroit's first game in the elements since 2017, though, so it will be a new experience for most. Unique venue aside, there's plenty to play for between the Midwestern foes, with each sitting on 66 points and fourth in their respective divisions.
